Aug 16, 2010i was under the impression that the hard core touring models were smaller wheeled than their sport touring cousins, hence i thought 700c was accurate. When i was touring and bike commuting my main bikes were the trek 720 and a '71 paramount.

Can anyone help me figure what year this bike is, and whether it's a good deal for an old touring bike, and maybe some more information on the frame? I think some people who don't use their touring bikes for daily riding don't understand how big-city riding can take its toll on parts. By the 80s, you might want to focus on touring bikes with calipers or "sports touring" bikes with long reach calipers.
